Global Retail Design Internship

Objectives of the Internship:

This internship is part of the Global Retail Design team and contributes to the production and assistance on architectural and administrative tasks. This internship offers a unique exposure to Aesop's boutique designs and their creation process on a global scale. Over time, this role will develop a deep understanding of the functional and aesthetic requirements of Aesop spaces.

This 6-month internship is based in Paris with a start for February/March 2026. Please submit your portfolio with your application (PDF format, 5 MB maximum).

Responsibilities (non-exhaustive list):

The role involves supporting the Global Retail Design team in the execution of complex architectural tasks. This includes assisting in the production, modification, and updating of plans, 3D models, material selection, and construction plan proofreading. The intern will familiarize themselves with each phase and rendering of selected projects to understand the entire process. The role also includes administrative tasks related to project management, to contribute to the smooth running and success of design projects.

The scope includes:

  • Administrative support to projects
  • Creation of 3D modelings (digital and manual) according to projects
  • Creation of digital renderings for presentations
  • Creation of simple technical drawings according to projects
  • Continuous development and updating of a global material library (with distinction between global and region-specific materials)
  • Management of an architectural library (specialized books, journals)
  • Development, maintenance, and distribution of global tools (master files CAD, CTB, Excel, InDesign, etc.)
  • Opportunities for learning through the creation of basic functional markings and checklists adapted to each project
  • Contribution to the research and sharing of relevant architectural references (contemporary and historical)

Administrative assistance:

  • Response to internal requests regarding specific boutique information, in coordination with regional teams if necessary
  • Help updating the contents of the boutique design guides, including text and visuals
  • Help updating and editing other global documents and resources
  • Coordination and execution of supplier and vendor invoicing
  • Help planning and organizing departmental events
  • Coordination of orders, shipments, and payments of specific items

The profile we are looking for:

  • Student in Master Architecture, Interior Architecture, or a similar field
  • Mandatory internship agreement for a duration of 6 months
  • Sharp sense of detail and design aesthetics
  • Proficiency in English, both spoken and written (another language is a plus)
  • Proactiveness, initiative, and creativity
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in 2D software (AutoCAD), 3D (Rhino, Vray, Enscape), Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Acrobat Pro, Photoshop, InDesign)
  • Basic skills in plan and model design
  • Great ability to manage multiple tasks in parallel
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Experience in project management and coordination
  • Good knowledge of modern and contemporary architecture
