Demand Planning Manager
Avaline is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Demand Planning Manager to join our growing team. This role serves as a critical connector between Operations, Finance, and Sales, ensuring that demand forecasts and supply plans are accurate, timely, and aligned with business objectives.
Your primary responsibility will be to own the demand forecasting process by consolidating inputs from Sales, analyzing depletions and sales velocity, and maintaining SKU-level forecasts that inform procurement and production decisions for the Operations team. You'll also play a key role in supporting the FP&A team by translating operational insights into financial forecasts, cash flow projections, and FX exposure analysis. Occasionally, you'll assist with ad hoc financial projects to drive strategic decision-making.

What You'll Do:
- Systematically develop and maintain bottom-up, SKU-level demand forecasts using historical sales, velocity trends, and Sales team inputs, while ensuring alignment with growth objectives set by the Finance and Executive leadership team (CEO, CFO) to support strategic business targets.
- Monitor depletions (PODs, velocity by SKU / retailer) and identify forecast variances, risks, and opportunities.
- Incorporate demand drivers (promotions, innovation launches, distribution changes, etc.) into forecasts.
- Prepare for and support monthly Supply & Demand Planning meetings to ensure alignment across Sales, Operations, and Finance.
- Own and manage Avaline's internal supply and demand planning platform, ensuring accurate data, timely updates, and seamless integration with Sales, Operations, and Finance for forecasting and reporting needs.
Supply Planning Support
- Provide accurate demand data to the Operations team for procurement and production planning.
- Identify potential supply risks or inventory constraints and assist with mitigation strategies.
FP&A Support
- Translate demand and supply forecasts into financial implications for revenue, cash flow, and vendor payment schedules by fully understanding vendor terms and cash flow cycles.
- Support FX hedging analysis by providing accurate EUR exposure forecasts. Assist FP&A with ad hoc financial analysis, scenario modeling, and strategic projects.
Reporting & Process Improvement
- Build and maintain dashboards that track forecast accuracy, inventory health, and demand trends.
- Automate recurring reports and contribute to continuous improvement in forecasting and financial integration processes.
Who You Are:
- A creative self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and attention to detail.
- Highly analytical with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable translating operational metrics into financial insights.
- Collaborative and adaptable, energized by working cross-functionally.
- A strong communicator who can clearly present findings to diverse stakeholders.
Qualifications:

- Strong understanding of key business drivers (inventory, COGS) and familiarity with S&OP processes.
- Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP; macros a plus).
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite) and BI tools (Power BI, Excel Power Query); experience with planning systems like Modus is a plus.

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Supply Chain, Economics, or a related field.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
