We are hiring a Quality Inspector to join our Quality team. This position reports to the Quality Supervisor in Asia and takes Away further by taking responsibility for performing product inspections and testing at factories, ensuring compliance with quality standards, preventing shipment of defective goods, maintaining accurate reports and communicating daily with Asia and HQ Quality team to drive continuous improvement
You’ll conduct Inspection on incoming materials, semi-finished goods, finished goods at supplier factories.
You’ll assist factory Incoming Material QC person(s) to inspect material from sub-contractor, and report to the Away QC Supervisor promptly if mass or critical defects are found
You’ll inspect semi-finished goods or randomly inspect assembly station(s) in the production line, QC’ing for damaged product if and when found
You’ll execute the Final Quality Control process, random sampling among the finished cartons for inspection based on AQL standard sampling plan.
You’ll record inspection data and summarize instances of non-conforming products per standard operation procedure
You’ll ensure the factory does not ship out the quarantined defect product or assembly with defect parts
You’ll assist factory QC to proceed with each testing protocol, and collect the accurate test data and generate test reports.
You’ll communicate daily with the HQ based Quality team and publish daily inspection reports
You’ll observe routine or special testing
You’ll recommend improvements to improve quality/ efficiency
You have a minimum of 3 years of experience in handbags, backpacks and/or the luggage industry
You’re a natural problem solver with factory partners and team members
You have an understanding of raw materials and finished goods testing
You’re knowledgeable of the incoming raw materials inspection processes, in-line inspection, and finished goods inspection
You have basic English proficiency, including written and verbal communication skills
You’re competent with the Google Suite, and possess general data entry computer skills
You’re detail-oriented and well organized
You’re self-motivated, able to act independently, and set priorities
You’re a team player
You’re willing to travel throughout Asia and to factories around the Phnom Penh area
You’re creative and innovative; you love to build great new things that are fresh and unique while staying on brand
You’re agile, and motivated by a fast-paced and ever changing environment
