Role Overview

The Inventory Planner owns SKU-level inventory health across Bushbalm's entire supply chain. This role translates the demand plan into actionable supply requirements, ensuring we maintain optimal finished goods and component inventory levels. The Inventory Planner identifies risks early, builds the inventory strategy, and determines what needs to be purchased and when, handing clear instructions to the procurement coordinators for execution.

This is an analytical, planning-focused role that sits between Forecasting, Procurement, and Operations.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Planning & Forecast Translation

  • Convert the demand forecast into SKU-level supply requirements across all markets and channels.
  • Build and maintain a rolling 6-12 month inventory plan for finished goods and components.
  • Set stocking targets, safety stock, reorder points, and recommended order quantities.
  • Model days of supply, sell-through velocity, seasonality, and lead times.

Inventory Health & Risk Management

  • Monitor inventory levels, risks, and projected stockouts daily.
  • Identify overstock, understock, and future capacity issues early and escalate with clarity.
  • Maintain visibility into on-hand, in-transit, and on-order inventory across all suppliers, co-mans, and 3PLs.
  • Own "inventory availability" reporting for Ops, Finance, Marketing, and Sales.

Replenishment Logic & Order Recommendations

  • Determine replenishment quantities and timing for all SKUs based on forecast, actuals, and constraints.
  • Build clear purchasing recommendations for Procurement to execute (quantities, timing, component needs, critical path).
  • Account for BOMs, MOQ constraints, production cadence, and co-man capacity.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Partner with Procurement to ensure purchasing aligns with the inventory plan.
  • Work with Finance to validate cash flow alignment with inventory strategy.
  • Work with Marketing, Growth and Sales teams to factor in promotions, launches, and retail pipeline.
  • Support Operations with insights on inbound flow and warehouse capacity requirements.

Data, Tools & Reporting

  • Maintain inventory planning models and dashboards.
  • Improve forecast accuracy by tracking variances and identifying drivers of error.
  • Maintain accurate planning inputs (lead times, MOQs, BOM details, safety stock levels).
  • Provide weekly and monthly inventory performance reporting.

Key Skills & Experience

  • 4–7+ years in inventory planning, supply planning, or demand planning (ideally CPG or manufacturing).
  • Strong analytical and modelling skills (Excel/Sheets is essential).
  • Experience with ERP systems; CIN7 is a plus.
  • Ability to turn forecast + constraints into clear replenishment actions.
  • Strong communication skills for presenting risk, options, and recommendations.
  • Comfortable working in a high-growth, fast-changing environment with imperfect data.

Perks & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
  • Flexible work environment (remote/hybrid options where applicable).
  • Health and wellness benefits, including a lifestyle spending account.
  • Professional development opportunities to support career growth.
  • Free access to our award-winning products.
  • Inclusive and dynamic company culture with team-building events.

Join us in redefining body care and making an impact in the beauty industry!
