About the role
We are looking for a superstar Senior Retail Operations & Events Manager to join our EU team! Based in London, the Retail Operations & Events Manager leads the EU Operations and Events team, ensuring physical stores are optimised for sales performance, team and customer safety, and brand integrity. This role is both strategic and hands-on, driving long-term retail and technology initiatives in collaboration with global and regional teams. You'll champion the voice of retail in cross-functional projects, support omnichannel excellence, and ensure our teams have the tools and processes needed to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
As our Senior Retail Operations & Events Manager you will
- Lead omnichannel retail projects that enhance operational efficiency, retail excellence, and customer experience, delivering against defined KPIs.
- Develop business cases and define KPIs for operational initiatives aligned with EU and global strategy.
- Build and execute the EU operational and events strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Manage the Operations & Events team, overseeing retailer-led proposals and making strategic decisions based on budget and impact.
- Own and evolve the EU retail communication strategy to ensure clarity, consistency and timely execution across field and store teams.
- Manage the Retail Operations & Events budget and vendor relationship, ensuring cost efficiency and alignment with business needs and forecasts.
- Lead and develop a high-performing Retail Operations & Events team, fostering growth through coaching, mentoring, and clear career pathways.
- Ensure the international promotions calendar is kept up to date while creating a history of promotions to support future activity and maintain a record of past activity to inform future planning.
- Work closely with department stores on all their in-house promotions and champion company interests by negotiating participation in host promotions and running Charlotte Tilbury-led activations.
- Lead compliance for mandatory EU training across Field and Retail teams, with a focus on Health & Safety and retailer-specific training, ensuring timely completion and alignment with legal and internal requirements.
- Lead the development and evolution of in-store standards for VM and Store Design across the EU, ensuring operational needs per market are reviewed and addressed to maximise sales, without compromising brand standards or customer experience.
- Ensure successful openings for all new stores and concessions by working closely with all relevant internal departments, as well as partners and department store contacts.
- Ensure international promotions calendar is kept up to date whilst creating a history of promotions to support future activity. Work closely with department stores on all their in-house promotions and champion company's interests by negotiating to participate in host's promotions as well as run our own promotions.
- Support and manage the team to ensure store environments are consistently maintained to brand standards, including gondolas, plates, visual merchandising, and seasonal activations.
- Lead the events team to deliver on exceptional Team Tilbury engagement events alongside the in collaboration of Head of Education and Pro.
Who you will work with
- You will report directly into our wonderful EU Retail Director.
- You will work closely cross functionally with the wider EU Function including our Retail and Field teams, Commercial, Store Design & VM, Marketing, Pro team and our Retail Partners.
About you
- You have a strong, demonstrable background within retail operations ideally within the beauty or fashion industry.
- Strong background in executing in-store projects and managing retailer relationships.
- You are confident in budget management, forecasting, and financial processes.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects and drive operational excellence across diverse retail environments.
- Experience in event planning and execution, you are proactive, adaptable, and comfortable navigating ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
- You work well under pressure, you can ruthlessly prioritise and know how to influence up and work in an agile environment with ease.
- Have a flexible and professional attitude, you are hungry to learn and welcome challenge!
- Have exceptional organisational and prioritising skills, with great attention to detail and is results-driven.
- Please note, this role is based in our London head office , and we work a hybrid model with 2-3 days in the office per week. You must be willing and able to travel across EU, when needed.
