About the Role:
Dr. Squatch is seeking a Corporate Quality Manager to join our Quality & Regulatory team out of Squatch HQ. A Corporate Quality Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, monitoring, and continuously improving the systems and processes needed to ensure product quality and prevent defects. The Corporate Quality Manager will also assess and correct any failures to comply with standards and specifications across the business.
This role will report to the Senior Director of Quality & Regulatory.
This is a full-time, hybrid (typically 3x/week) role with company benefits based in Marina del Rey, CA.
The anticipated base compensation range for this role will be $100,000 to $120,000. Compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and local market rates.
What You'll Do:
- Monitor, investigate, and resolve escalated consumer complaints
- Work cross-functionally to ensure all suppliers, vendors, and manufacturing partners have the information, guidance, and feedback needed to consistently produce high-quality products
- Develop quality standards and acceptable ranges in collaboration with Production, R&D/PD, and Packaging
- Train, monitor, and educate internal team members, as well as external vendors, suppliers, 3rd party service providers, and manufacturing partners on our quality requirements and overall performance expectations
- Investigate and resolve non-conformances that occur in either products or processes, and apply effective corrective actions
- Track, analyze, and report on departmental quality KPIs
- Protect the brand on the market by ensuring all products are produced, shipped, stored, transported, and received according to standard operating procedures as related to quality.
- This includes investigating and resolving the iterations of problems that arise when things do go wrong, in a quick and efficient way
- Provide informed guidance on the disposition of damaged, excess, expired, out-of-spec, and obsolete finished goods, components, and raw materials while being a good steward of company resources
- Disposition can include returning off-spec components or finished goods to the manufacturer, inspecting and sorting finished goods, disposal, rework, relabeling, and repacking
- Monitor, track, and manage the final disposition of damaged, excess, expired, out-of-spec, and obsolete inventory to the point of completion
- This includes disposing of branded products economically, safely, and discreetly, which prevents scavenging, reselling, or unauthorized photography during the disposal process while obtaining and retaining all required documentation.
About You:
- At least three years of experience in a Quality, Regulatory, or related role is required.
- A bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Engineering, or a related field is required. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Proven track record in implementing and maintaining QMS.
- Experience leading audits and compliance initiatives.
- Awareness of environmental and safety management standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Experience working in the consumer products industry is highly preferred
- Has high standards, takes ownership, and is invested in the outcome
