As an Accounting Supervisor, you will be part of our Controllership team, taking responsibility for complete accounting management and being a key partner for local management and stakeholders. This position will include leading a small team, preparing closings, collaborating on audits, and ensuring compliance with Czech legislation and internal corporate standards.

Your tasks will be:

• Leading complete accounting according to Czech accounting regulations
• Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
• Collaborating on processing corporate income tax, checking and supporting in processing VAT and other taxes
• Ensuring compliance of accounting processes with US GAAP requirements
• Collaborating with auditors and tax advisors
• Responsibility for setting up and maintaining internal controls (SOX)
• Leading a small team
• Supporting and controlling processes in the area of procurement of long-term tangible assets (including calculation of depreciation and its disposal)
• Preparing and updating internal guidelines
• Checking when introducing new suppliers
• Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
• Manual entries of statutory accounting (Pohoda system)

Qualifications and skills you should have:

• Higher education in the economic field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting
• Experience in leading people (a big plus)
• Excellent knowledge of Czech accounting and tax legislation
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office
• Knowledge of English at B2 level, excellent knowledge of Czech
• Practice with audits and tax issues
• Knowledge of SAP (advantageous)
• Responsibility, precision, independence, and ability to lead a team
