Data Product Manager

As the Data Product Manager, you will be responsible for the stewardship and strategic development of data assets within ANZ, acting as a vital link between business objectives and data solutions. You will translate complex business requirements into actionable data specifications and oversee the design, delivery, and maintenance of data products. This role is based in Chippendale, Sydney and reports to the Principal Manager, Data Product.

You will…

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of data products that support business decision-making.
• Translate business opportunities and requirements into clear, actionable data specifications.
• Manage the documentation and quality of local data assets in line with organizational standards.
• Act as the liaison between business stakeholders, data teams, and other technical functions.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations related to data.
• Promote continuous improvement in data processes, tools, and methodologies.
• Stay current with emerging trends and best practices in data product management.

You have…

• Experience translating complex business requirements into data specifications and product roadmaps.
• Strong SQL and data modeling skills, with proficiency in Python.
• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and modern data stack tools (e.g., AWS, Databricks, Snowflake, DBT, Airflow).
• Strong project management skills, with a track record of delivering complex data initiatives on time.

• An excellent communicator with the ability to influence non-technical audiences.
• Experienced in working across cross-functional teams and navigating matrixed environments.
• Knowledgeable about data governance, data quality, and data lifecycle management.
• Able to identify and manage risks related to data quality, privacy, and model outputs.
