IT Operations Engineer
As the IT Operations Engineer, you will be the backbone of our on-site IT support in Perth, while also providing general support across the APAC region. You'll be instrumental in keeping our teams working securely and efficiently, focusing on timely support, stable systems, and user satisfaction. - Provide timely and effective onsite and remote support: resolving issues quickly and efficiently, minimizing downtime and disruptions. Proactive approach to preventative maintenance.
- Manage IT Hardware assets and inventory: keeping track of hardware assets, ensuring proper tracking, replacement, licensing, maintenance, and planning for future needs.
- Manage User Accounts: ensuring efficient and timely onboarding and offboarding of user accounts. Proactively managing user access and licensing.
- Support Events: providing IT support for events, ensuring reliable IT equipment.
- Manage Knowledge: creating and maintaining knowledge documentation related to software, services, and processes.
- Collaborate with other teams: effective communication and collaboration with other teams to ensure IT support is aligned with changing policies and processes.
- Minimize total spend: maintaining a fiscally responsible approach in all activities.
- Manage IT Security: align with the IT Security Tribe to implement, educate, and enforce IT security policies. Endpoint protection, VPN, passwords, and mobile device management, user management, file and folder permissions.
- Support Network Infrastructure: under the guidance of the IT Infrastructure team, assist with maintaining and troubleshooting network infrastructure.
You have/are…
- 3+ years experience working in a dedicated IT support role.
- Confident working as the only IT support onsite, with IT peers working from our other sites across ANZ.
- Strong technical knowledge across a range of platforms, including Google Workspace, Slack, Microsoft Office, security tools (SentinelOne, Zscaler, InTune, JAMF), and various operating systems (Windows, Mac, Android), along with network infrastructure basics.
- Sharp problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- A customer service champion with excellent interpersonal skills, focused on user satisfaction.
- Fiscally responsible in your approach to all activities and spending.
