The Transportation Senior Program Manager will play a critical role in our end-to-end supply chain operations. You will be responsible for planning and managing carrier mix and carrier relationships across last mile delivery providers, and partnering with cross functional teams on supply chain and even company wide initiatives. This is a highly cross-functional role requiring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset.
Design and Optimize National Last-Mile Delivery Network Build and scale a high-performance transportation network tailored to DTC prescription delivery, ensuring fast, reliable, and cost efficient service to patients across all U.S. regions. Drive continuous improvement in speed, cost, and performance.
Own Delivery KPIs and Performance Metrics Partner with supply chain analytics teams to monitor and report on critical supply chain and last mile metrics including on-time delivery rate, cold-chain compliance, delivery success rate (first-attempt), damage/loss, and customer satisfaction. Use data to drive continuous improvement of last mile and supply chain processes and to ensure executive alignment.
Deploy Technology to Improve Routing, Visibility & Automation Partner with product management teams to develop and implement transportation management systems (TMS), dynamic route planning tools, real-time tracking integrations, and other related technologies to improve last mile performance and customer experience.
Establish and Manage High-Performing Carrier & Last Mile Delivery Partnerships Source and manage national and regional last-mile carriers, including those specializing in healthcare or cold-chain. Negotiate contracts, enforce SLAs, conduct QBRs, and escalate/resolution performance issues with urgency and accountability.
Lead Incident Management, Risk Mitigation, and Business Continuity Develop playbooks for delivery disruptions including weather delays, carrier outages, or fulfillment backlogs. Maintain redundancy in carrier networks and proactively communicate risk to internal stakeholders and external partners.
Ensure Regulatory and Privacy Compliance Develop and maintain transportation protocols that adhere to applicable HIPAA, FDA, and DEA standards. Oversee secure delivery, proof-of-delivery protocols, and any required identity verification workflows to protect patient data and medication integrity.
Lead Cross-Functional Logistics Initiatives Partner across teams (e.g. pharmacy operations, fulfillment, supply chain, etc… ) to design, implement, and execute cross functional initiatives including but not limited to product launches, international expansion, regulatory exercises and more.
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Logistics, or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience in transportation or logistics management, with exposure to both inbound and outbound operations
Proven track record of managing freight schedules, dock appointments, and retail shipments
Strong analytical and organizational skills, with experience in performance monitoring and process improvement
Excellent communication and cross-functional coordination skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/G-Sheets and transportation management systems
Experience working with third-party carriers and warehouse operations
Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a fast-paced environment
