✨ About The Role
- The Purchasing Specialist will manage purchasing responsibilities through Purple Carrot’s system, including sales, purchase orders, projections, and reporting.
- This role involves generating purchase orders and ensuring on-time delivery and order accuracy for various items, including packaging and ingredients.
- The candidate will follow ingredient and packaging orders from creation through delivery and communicate with the on-site team about any delays or shortages.
- The role requires monitoring inventory levels and responding to supply disruptions, including order changes and delivery shortages.
- The Purchasing Specialist will work closely with accounts payable, fulfillment, and outside vendors to ensure accurate invoicing based on purchase orders.
⚡ Requirements
- The ideal candidate will have 2 to 4 years of experience in buying, forecasting, procurement, or supply chain management.
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required for this role.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and/or Google Docs is essential, with the ability to create and manage spreadsheets.
- The candidate should be detail-oriented and able to multitask effectively while managing time efficiently.
- Excellent written, verbal, and social communication skills are necessary for collaboration with internal teams and external suppliers.
