Position Summary, Responsibilities and Expectations:
Oversee and manage all aspects of cost accounting including standard cost setting, cost roll-ups, and cost copy processes in Oracle
Lead overhead rate reviews and updates, preparing analysis and implementing changes in Oracle based on operational and financial inputs
Perform monthly and quarterly inventory valuation and Cost Accounting related close activities including inventory reconciliations and reserve analysis
Collaborate with Operations to ensure accurate inventory valuation and reporting
Ensure compliance with SOX and internal audit controls related to cost accounting processes and Oracle transactions
Support Oracle ERP upgrades and testing by documenting and validating cost-related transactions and reports
Conduct variance analysis (PPV, MV, absorption) and provide actionable insights to improve cost efficiency and operational performance
Collaborate and partner with manufacturing and supply chain teams to optimize cost structures and support strategic decision-making
Essential Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
Minimum 10 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in Oracle EBS (Cost Management and Inventory) or Oracle Fusion ERP.
Experience with audit processes, including SOX compliance and internal controls.
Advanced Excel skills; experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI) is a plus.
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with Oracle Discoverer and ECC dashboards for cost and inventory reporting
Experience supporting ERP upgrades and UAT testing for cost accounting modules
