Corsair is currently seeking an experienced and highly motivated candidate to oversee the daily operations of our Almere facility. The successful candidate will report to the Senior Director, Global Distribution and will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the distribution center, while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities and Expectations:
- Manage daily operations of the warehouse/distribution center, ensuring on-time and accurate order fulfillment, as well as receiving, put-away, and inventory control functions.
- Develop and implement efficient processes and procedures to improve warehouse productivity and minimize costs.
- Manage a total team of 40+ employees, including hiring, onboarding, training, individual productivity tracking, and performance evaluations, while maintaining a strong focus on employee retention and reducing turnover.
- Implement and oversee employee engagement and motivation initiatives, including team-building activities, recognition programs, and performance incentives, to foster a positive work environment and promote productivity.
- Monitor inventory levels and maintain an accurate record of stock, ensuring proper cycle counts and avoiding stock discrepancies.
- Analyze and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and to establish performance goals.
- Manage and report monthly on a complete set of hub metrics.
- Coordinate with the Director of Distribution and other departments to optimize supply chain management and maintain seamless communication between teams.
- Implement and enforce health and safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for employees.
- Partner with Logistics Manager to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods to customers, and onboarding of new carriers.
- Investigate shipping discrepancy reports and complaints related to warehouse operations, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Help to create and manage the budget for the Distribution Center.
- Implement new strategies to reduce Cost per Unit.
- Ensure compliance with customer routing guides.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience working in distribution/logistics managing direct labor.
- Experience managing a distribution operation of at least 10,000 sqm.
- Strong understanding of 3PL processes including waving, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory control.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory control, and supply chain management principles.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Proven track record of leading and managing a diverse team.
- Knowledge of local and international shipping regulations and requirements.
- Strong knowledge of returns processing.
- Experience with major retail accounts and their routing guides.
- Strong data analysis skills.
- Strong proficiency in Excel.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Access is a plus.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint.
- Experience with ERP systems (Oracle preferred).
- Self-starter.
- Problem solver/innovative.
- Fluency in English and Dutch.
