Spare Parts Planner

Position Summary, Responsibilities and Expectations:

Role Overview: The Spares Planner is responsible for managing spare parts planning and inventory to ensure timely availability for service and repair operations. This role involves forecasting demand, coordinating with suppliers and internal stakeholders, and optimizing inventory levels to support business continuity and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities & Expectations:

  • Forecast spare parts demand and manage inventory to meet service needs while minimizing excess stock.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams for timely replenishment and delivery.
  • Monitor lead times, ETAs, and resolve supply constraints proactively.
  • Analyze usage patterns, conduct root cause analysis for stockouts/overstock, and implement improvement plans.
  • Support NPIs by ensuring spares readiness.
  • Manage backlog and prioritize shipments to meet customer delivery dates.
  • Initiate activities like purchase requisitions, transfers, work orders, and rework to align supply with forecasts.
  • Partner closely with Procurement, Reverse Logistics, and PMs.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical/problem-solving skills and knowledge of service operations lifecycle.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, global environment with experience in demand forecasting and inventory optimization.

Key Requirements and Attributes:

  • Experience: Proficiency with MRP systems and planning tools is essential.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications, particularly Excel, is required.
  • Analytical Capability: Strong organizational skills with the ability to synthesize multiple data inputs, make data-driven decisions, and communicate findings clearly to stakeholders.
  • Decision-Making: Ability to effectively manage competing objectives and make decisions that align with Corsair's overall business goals.
  • Leadership: Positive and inclusive leadership style with a proven ability to leverage team members' skills and experiences.
  • Team Collaboration: A collaborative communication approach that emphasizes teamwork and mutual success.
  • Adaptability: Ability to handle multiple tasks, address ad-hoc issues, and close open items promptly and efficiently.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Business, Logistics, or related disciplines, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience: 5–8 years of hands-on experience in detailed scheduling and material planning within a fast-paced consumer electronics environment.
  • Technical Expertise: Extensive experience with MRP/ERP systems and BI reporting tools.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively manage stakeholders and navigate high-pressure situations.
