Production Manager

The Spectacles team is pushing the boundaries of technology to bring people closer together in the real world. Our fifth-generation Spectacles, powered by Snap OS, showcase how standalone, see-through AR glasses make playing, learning, and working better together.

What you'll do:

  • Oversee and manage the Production team on site, running multiple shifts and the Production Engineering Team, ensuring alignment with Snap's overall operational goals.
  • Ensure that processes transferring to Production have the necessary MRL/TRL process readiness for a successful implementation into the production flow. Holding to account the Process and Manufacturing teams so they are handing over a Mass Production suitable process.
  • Collaborate with Finance/IT/Snap stakeholders to ensure MES/MRP systems are fit for purpose and scalable for manufacturing.
  • Ensure end-to-end manufacturing process documentation is in place.
  • Lead and mentor the Production Manager and Production Engineering Team, empowering them to successfully execute projects and achieve mass production readiness.
  • Set clear objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the team, focusing on system uptime, project delivery, and budget adherence.
  • Foster a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and proactive problem-solving within the production operations team.
  • Ensure the facility is prepared for increases in production volume and the introduction of new products (NPI).
  • Partner with manufacturing and engineering teams to understand future facility requirements and develop a long-term site infrastructure roadmap.
  • Guarantee that all utility capacity, facility layouts, and safety systems can support production ramp-up plans.
  • Implement and champion production methodologies such as Six Sigma and continuous improvement to optimize processes and drive efficiency.
  • Explore and integrate AI for production solutions to enhance predictive maintenance, quality control, and operational intelligence.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to stay updated with industry trends and implement cutting-edge technologies.
  • Understanding of the key processes in manufacturing, including advanced methodologies like Six Sigma and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work and influence across teams and manage timelines.
  • Being able to balance strategic and tactical responsibilities.
  • Passion for problem-solving and driving resolution.
  • Flexibility to adapt to dynamic and at times ambiguous environments.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in multilingual and multicultural environments with partners in Asia.
  • Strong leadership and management capabilities, with a proven ability to mentor and develop teams.
  • Demonstrated capacity for problem-solving, self-direction, time management, and prioritisation.
  • Familiarity with AI for production concepts and their application in manufacturing environments.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Preferably Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience working in operations in a Manufacturing environment, with a preference for in-house manufacturing experience.
  • Proven experience managing a multidiscipline team of greater than 20 people.
