We're looking for a Production Technician to join the Manufacturing Team at Snap Inc!

What you'll do:

1. The role requires wearing a full cleanroom suit, with the expectation that the majority of the working day will take place within the cleanroom, actively engaged in production activities.
2. Perform hands-on tasks relating to the manufacturing, assembly, and testing of products, ensuring adherence to established procedures and specifications.
3. Support and maintain production on a 2-shift rotating basis (6am - 3pm, 3pm - 11pm), including setup, operation, and shutdown of production equipment.
4. Proactively monitor production processes, identify deviations, and conduct initial troubleshooting and diagnosis of equipment and process issues.
5. Contribute to continuous process development and optimisation by identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, yield, and reduce operating costs.
6. Assist in the development and validation of new manufacturing processes and technologies, ensuring rapid introduction with stable yield and quality.
7. Ensure strict adherence to engineering principles, quality standards, and operating procedures by all staff working within the fabrication and test areas.
8. Respond promptly to out-of-control events, conduct initial investigations, and assist in the disposition and resolution of issues to minimise downtime and scrap.
9. Serve as the primary process engineering representative for all processing areas during out-of-day shift hours, making critical decisions to maintain production.
10. Conduct on-shift containment, in-depth investigation, diagnosis, and resolution of complex process and test issues, escalating to engineers as needed.
11. Provide clear and concise feedback and communication to ensure seamless continuity in addressing issues across all manufacturing shifts.
12. Liaise effectively with shift supervisors and fellow Technicians to ensure production priorities are clearly understood and addressed with appropriate urgency.
13. Accurately monitor the status of production processes, including output, yield, and downtime using the MES, SPC data, and the production dashboard.
14. Actively contribute to the training and mentoring of new Operators and fellow Technicians on manufacturing processes and equipment.
15. Champion a positive safety and environmental culture to satisfy ISO 18001 and ISO 140001 requirements.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Experience working in a manufacturing/production environment
• Broad knowledge of manufacturing and engineering principles
• Strong analytical and problem solving ability
• Good understanding of statistical process control techniques
• Knowledge of scientific experimentation techniques
• Proactive and capable of working without direct supervision
• Can effectively prioritise time and identify and focus on priority issues
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
• Adaptable to changing circumstances

Minimum Qualifications:

• Demonstrable experience as a Production Technician in a similar fabrication environment
