What You'll Do

Sol de Janeiro is a global brand that is seeking an Accounting Manager to join the Finance team, reporting to the VP of Accounting. The Accounting Manager will oversee the financial accounting operations of the business, ensuring compliance with IFRS standards and accurate financial reporting. This is a hands-on leadership role that is suited for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment. This role is key in driving efficiency, while prioritizing quality and optimizing accounting processes.

What You'll Be Working On

• Govern day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable and employee corporate card programs.
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes ensuring timely and accurate reporting for seven legal entities.
• Manage and prepare general ledger account reconciliations and journal entries.
• Manage and mentor a team of six in the accounting team, fostering collaboration and ensuring operational excellence and employee development.
• Partner cross-functionally with operations, supply chain and other department to align financial goals and reporting.
• Optimize accounting workflows for greater efficiency and accuracy in reporting.
• Manage quarterly Group reporting to the parent company.
• Participate in the development and improvement of internal controls, including documentation to support controls.
• Participate and prepare accounting memos/policies that support technical accounting positions and key accounting areas.
• Manage and maintain current ERP (NetSuite) for the finance team.
• Support implementation of new ERP system (SAP), with a focus on controls and automation.
• Support FP&A with financial planning, budgeting and forecasting.
• Collaborate with external auditors during financial audits.
• Ad hoc projects as needed.

Must Haves

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (CPA required).
• 5+ years of experience in accounting management, ideally within CPG or retail industries.
• Strong knowledge of Accounting Standards under U.S GAAP and/or IFRS.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP) and Microsoft applications.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, communication and analytical skills.

A self-starter who can manage multiple priorities, delivering quality results in a timely manner

Salary Range: $135,000 - $150,000 USD
