Role Overview

The Demand Planning Manager plays a critical role in aligning demand forecasts with supply capabilities to ensure optimal inventory levels across our warehouse network. This position is responsible for managing all aspects of demand planning, supply planning, inventory deployment, materials planning, and copacker coordination to meet customer service and operational goals. The role is central to the success of the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process and requires strong collaboration with internal teams and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead S&OP process and collaborate closely with Supply Chain, Sales, eCommerce, Finance, and other cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on forecasts, risks, and supply plans.
  • Maintain and manage MRP functions within Netsuite. Own the full production planning process.
  • Develop accurate and timely production plans with all copackers, ensuring product availability to meet demand.
  • Oversee inventory planning, monitoring, and deployment across all warehouse and 3PL facilities.
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage inbound shipments with copackers, carriers, and 3PL partners.
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels at all locations with minimal transfers, balancing service and cost.
  • Ensure all demand, supply, and inventory data are consistently updated and accurate to support real-time decision-making.
  • Proactively identify and execute opportunities to improve forecast accuracy, inventory turnover, and product availability.
  • Quickly assess and respond to changes in demand or supply, developing action plans to meet business objectives.
  • Create and maintain KPIs related to inventory performance, copacker reliability, forecast accuracy, and other supply chain metrics.
  • Continuously improve S&OP, demand planning, supply planning, and inventory management processes.
  • Proactively escalate supply chain risks and lead mitigation efforts to reduce customer impact and operational cost.
  • Work with Buyer to help manage material requirements planning, including the procurement and oversight of raw materials inventory.
  • Maintain master data in NetSuite and other relevant systems to ensure operational accuracy.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, or a related field.
  • APICS/ASCM CPIM or CSCP certification a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in demand planning and inventory management. (Experience in CPG/ Food & Beverage preferred.)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to lead in ambiguous or fast-paced situations.
  • Proactive and self-directed, with a strong sense of urgency and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP platforms.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required (e.g., pivot tables, manual formula building, scenario analysis).
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing both strategic and tactical tasks effectively.
