About the teamIn this role you will be joining the Operations Team, reporting to the Director of Operations (Strategic Sourcing). Our Operations team is the heartbeat of our fulfillment process, expertly managing everything from inbound shipments to outbound deliveries, including returns, picking, packing, and shipping. Their precision and dedication ensure every customer receives the perfect fit, on time, so they can feel confident and look their best for life's most memorable moments. By keeping operations seamless and customer-focused, this team plays a pivotal role in delivering experiences that help our customers own their most special occasions.
About the roleThe Operations Manager is responsible for the performance and continued improvement of the warehouse within Inbound and Outbound including safety, quality control, process optimization, warehouse management system, labor and forecast planning, and financial management of the operation. This position reports directly to the General Manager.
What You'll Do
- Daily review of department KPIs to make sure all critical SLAs are achieved within budget
- Strategic planning of daily/weekly/monthly operation to achieve goals for operation planning
- Understanding of freight cost impact to the operation along with OTF and OTD expectations
- Implement and maintain quality standards throughout the operation to improve customer expectations
- Manage financial budgets for operations on a daily basis to ensure we meet expectations
- Use Root Cause Analysis tools to bridge missed production goals and implement next-day corrective actions
- Monitor SOP compliance by performing department audits and document findings
- Lead weekly forecast reviews with site GM to ensure proper staffing for all departments
- Monitor associates attendance, behavior, and production. Performance manage according to TBT policies and procedures
- Exemplify great team leadership to motivate, train, and communicate effectively with all employees on a daily basis
- Work well cross functional with IT, IE, WMS, and Strat Ops teams to implement new tools and improve processes to increase productivity and accuracy
- Work closely with the Order Fulfillment Team to ensure all priority orders are shipped and hot inventory is processed daily
- Partner with the T&P team and staffing agencies to recruit and develop team members from entry-level positions to Ambassadors, Leads, and more
- Uphold and support all OSHA regulations and safety programs to ensure a safe work environment for all associates
- Maintain positive and professional communication with the management team
- Understand and be able to learn industry-specific technology
Who You Are
- Bachelor's degree in operations management, business administration, or related field and/or 3+ years in warehouse or fulfillment center environment in Area Manager or higher role
- Advanced Excel skills such as VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables and Macros. Comfortable merging and analyzing information from separate sources
- Knowledge of Lean and 5S. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt a plus
- Actively participated in Kaizen Events or led Kaizen Events
- Analytical thinker; able to solve problems quickly and effectively
- 3 years of WMS experience (preferably Korber) and handheld devices (RF scanners)
- Successfully led large teams of 100+ employees, including leaders of others, through active, social and visible management style.
- Data driven decision maker
- Dedication to the team and obsession with customer experience.
- Availability to work overtime during peak seasons and other times during the year as needed. Able to work any shift (nights, weekends etc.) are a must
- Strong sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines
- Strong emotional intelligence skills to be empathetic, self-aware, and conflict resolution
- Bilingual skills are a must

$70,000 - $90,000 a year
The base salary range for this position will be $70,000-$90,000. Compensation may vary based on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and location. The Black Tux defines compensation plans using market data aligned with comparable companies at a similar stage and size as ours.
