Job Description
Following the successful opening of our initial stores in Shanghai and Beijing, as well as our eCommerce business on Tmall and JD.com, Vuori is beginning to build our Planning team on the ground in China. We are currently seeking an Inventory Planning Manager, the first role in Merchandising in market, to join our collaborative team who will play a pivotal role in the expansion in the Greater China market. This role will work closely with international merchandising and Inventory team that based in global HQ, and stakeholders across different departments.
What you'll get to do:
- Manage all category Inventory, OTB, buy Inventory, rolling forecast on sales vs inventory. Manage Inventories across channels
- Present financial findings and action plans in OTB meetings and cross functional reviews, determine seasonal investment based on business and brand goals, and set financial benchmarks
- Generate business and inventory analysis, fatigue analysis, product ST% analysis and product hindsight on a weekly/ monthly/quarterly basis to support business decisions and guide strategy landing and seasonal buy.
- Analyze historical data and in-season performance to identify risks, opportunities and trends by channel, work with cross functional partners to ensure actions are taken to achieve financial targets
- Plan / track rolling forecast on sales/inv/receipts. Analyze inventory mix and monitor in-store inventory availability to maximize sales while balancing financial risk. Weekly track sales velocity and inventory balance situation to generate chase/cut/creative inventory sell-through actions
- Work closely with internal teams and external vendors across Merchandising, Production, Distribution etc. to ensure product arrival on time
- Working closely with Marketing teams to reflect global brand stories and PR needs
- Build strong partnerships with global peers to ensure consistency of strategy and tools, share best practices and foster a result-oriented, innovative Inventory environment
- Create reporting, KPIs and dashboards showcasing the performance that will be presented to cross functional stakeholders on a frequent basis
- Continue to evolve regional Inventory processes and tools to meet the needs of a dynamic market environment, driving efficiency and performance
Qualifications
Who you are:
- 7+ years' experience solid merchandising and buying experience in apparel sector
- Holds a bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience preferred.
- Demonstrate strong business acumen and strategic agility
- Proficiency in excel, including data manipulation and advanced formulas, comfortable navigating planning systems and tools
- Ability to work with autonomy in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- High attention to detail; ability to juggle many priorities and manage execution.
- Fluent in oral & written English and Mandarin. Strong communicator
- Flexibility to participate in calls outside regular business hours as needed to collaborate with global stakeholders. Some international or domestic travel.
- Good team player with a caring and empathetic attitude
