Job Description

The Production Planner is a strategic partner in the business. They oversee various Production related tasks from concept to delivery with the required speed and flexibility in support of the merchandise plans. This role will be the main point of contact with the Vendors in relation to finished good forecast, purchase order execution, and timeline negotiation.

Qualifications

What you'll get to do:

  • Responsible and accountable for accuracy of on order and understanding weekly reports from Vendors with delivery updates.
  • Communicator of prioritization of product, delivery delays and potential risks from the Vendors to the Merchandising, Merchandise Planning, and Inventory & Allocation teams.
  • Manage monthly finished good projection rollup and summarize month over month changes in partnership with Merchandise and Merchandise Planning.
  • Risk assesses possible bottle necks or gaps in finished good production.
  • Working directly with vendors to effect changes to PO schedules to ensure that forecast and required delivery timing is met.
  • Support with raw material analysis, roll ups, and communication of risk, ownership, and commitments.
  • Aide in cross functional team meetings to call out risk and drive issues to resolution.
  • Define and implement strategic processes and tools within the Production team that impact total business; including but not limited to PO reporting, speed, and agility programs, read and react scenarios.
  • Able to quickly respond to and implement chase requests to support growing business.
  • Prepare summary reports on vendor performance, highlighting key metrics and trends for management review.
  • Partner with Merchandising, Product Development, Merchandise Planning, Inventory & Allocation Deployment, Logistics, and Finance teams.

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, operations, business, or supply chain preferred.
  • 4+ years of production planning, raw material planning, and/or inventory management experience.
  • Excellent technical skills in Microsoft Excel and/or related planning, finance, or analytical systems.
  • Great business influence skills. Role is highly influential and requires input from various teams to be successful.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines, grow performance capabilities, and handle shifting priorities - able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to identify and influence critical stakeholders, proactively problem solve, and recommend solutions.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Extremely strong communication and presentation skills concisely presents complex information and recommendations in terms meaningful to a variety of audiences.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP system a plus.
  • International and domestic travel required (up to 10%) including by air, ground and overnight.
  • Willing and able to work additional hours when needed.
  • Bend, lift, open and move product and related office items varying in weight from 1 to 25lbs, depending on need.

The salary range for this role is $85,000 per year - $95,000 per year.
