Job Description

Sr. Manager of Merchandising Ops is accountable for the project management of all merchandising initiatives and calendar, helping to deliver Vuori’s product strategy and the strategic growth goals of the Merchandising department. This role will report to the VP of Merchandising and will work closely with the core Merchandising team, and cross-functional partners focused on Design, Product Development, Planning, Marketing, Ecommerce and Stores. This person is an experienced project manager that will lead the facilitation, planning and implementation of projects and strategic initiatives for the Merchandising team, and ensure the execution and alignment of the Merchandising process across all departments.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Track, calendar, and measure progress of annual department goals
  • Develop detailed project plans, implementation schedules, resource plans and budgets for key meetings
  • Leads and coordinates projects and associated activities, defines deliverables and milestones; ensures follow up on all key initiatives
  • Takes the lead in the change management process for each project; anticipates change leadership needs for business
  • Supports the annual long range planning process with strategic thought partnership with VP of Merchandising; initiates and executes against that vision and direction
  • Manage the preparation timeline and provide support on presentation building for brand meetings, offsite sessions, investor, and Board of Directors meetings
  • Support implementation of all IT projects supporting the Merchandising team, including implementation of PLM and Assortment Management tools. Act as a team liaison supporting team work flow, execution of timelines and milestones needed to execute on-time delivery of platforms. Act as functional point person on IT projects
  • Manage Merchandising internal calendar. This includes scheduling seasonal milestones, creating agendas and prepping meeting setup.
  • Partner with Director of Brand calendar on navigating calendar shifts and finding solutions to deliver on time milestone execution by the merchandising team

Qualifications

  • 6+ years merchandising and/or project management experience in specialty retail apparel brands
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field
  • Strong group facilitation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including analytical, problem solving, organizational, issue resolution, and relationship management. Demonstrated ability to negotiate
  • Ability to influence across the organization, particularity around strategic issues and change management to bring structured, organized workflow to multi-layer team with cross functional dependencies
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and operate under tight time constraints with a strong sense of urgency
  • Strong understanding of apparel Merchandising
  • Experience delivering high growth at the brand or category level
  • Strong knowledge of all Microsoft applications (PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Demonstrated ability to create PowerPoint presentations that take large amounts of information and data and present them articulately and succinctly with a clear vision to the executive team
  • Adobe Illustrator and PLM experience a plus

Pay Range: $120,000 - $140,000
